Radhastami 2010

This Radhastami Swami B. V. Tripurari spoke about how Gaudiyas see Radharani in every verse of the Srimad Bhagavatam although ostensibly she is not mentioned directly in even one verse. To truly understand the Bhagavatam, we must hear from one who has comprehensive understanding of Srimad Bhagavatam. And how does one gain comprehensive understanding? It is said that if you love someone, they will reveal all their secrets. In this way, it is the depth of Gaudiya Vaisnavas’ love for Srimad Bhagavatam that has caused the Bhagavatam to reveal its deepest truths to them.

Sri Radha embodies worship such that it is no longer worship—the gap is bridged between worshipper and worship. In her, love is the way and love is the goal. Such love has the power to control even Krishna, the supreme controller. In this way, Radha is svarat, independent, not Krishna. Although he is known as the supreme independent, he is controlled by Radha’s love. Thus whereas most religions stress that God is the most worshippable object, Gaudiyas are preoccupied with the object of God’s love. Jaya Vrindavanesvari!
