Advaita Saptami celebrations began here at Madhuvan with early morning kirtana and a discourse on the significance of Advaita Acarya. Swami based his lecture on the description of Sri Advaita found in the Caitanya-caritamrita and highlighted the compassion of Maha-Vishnu, given his proximity to the material world and the nature of his sristi-lila. Swami also explained the Vaikuntha perspective on dasya rasa and the nature of Sri Advaita’s bhajana that caused Krishna to descend in the form of Sri Caitanya.
The lecture was followed by a sumptuous feast of Madhuvan’s produce prepared and offered to Sri Sri Dauji-Gopala on green banana leaf plates and then distributed to all of the devotees in an atmosphere reminiscent of Navadwipa Dhama itself.
