Janmastami 2011

September 7th, 2011 | No Comments

For the third consecutive year, Audarya held a ten-day festival from Baladeva Purnima through Janmastami, ending with Srila Prabhupada’s Vyasa-puja celebration. Swami B. V. Tripurari spoke more than forty hours of Hari katha with morning and evening classes. This year his inspiring talks dealt extensively with Baladeva tattva and after several days gradually shifted into Krishna-lila centered on Bhagavan Sri Krishna’s advent. This transition from Rama to Krishna katha issued forth through an insightful discussion on the avatara tattva section of the Gita in which Swami demonstrated the Gita’s evidence for the appearance of Sri Caitanya.

Swami’s talks were preceded and followed by Agnideva’s eternal kirtana. All milk products for the festival were produced on site at Audarya’s micro creamery and Audarya’s gardens supplied vegetables and fruits in abundance. Several devotees were blessed with harinama and mantra diksa and practically all attending expressed feelings of impending separation from Swami, Audarya, and one another as the festival came to a close.
